It was very dark, and Rellahs cloak seemed transparent as the cold winds kissed her skin, turning it numb. Shivering, she pulled it closer to her, and continued through the forest. She had lost track of time since she left the Arrow steps. Her feet were not tired even though her eyelids grew heavy. Rellahs lips began feeling sore, chapped, and she pulled out the little tin of beeswax she had bought from Ana in Vesper, rubbing some of the honey scented gel onto her lips.

Rellah stepped over some fallen tree branches and entered a small clearing in the woods. The moon lit up the area with such a surreal glow, that Rellah paused, taking in the beauty of the woods at night. She blinked, reaching to her side and pulling out the small flute she have given Lindel not even a week before. Rellah suddenly became aware that she hadnt the slightest clue of where to look for Garreth. Kneeling down, she set the flute carefully atop some leaves, and pulled off her gloves, laying them down next to the flute. Trembling, she picked up the flute with both hands, feeling its cold surface for the first time.

It was not long before the visions flooded her sight. Gasping, Rellah had no choice but to let the images come to her, her hands unable to drop the flute, unable to free herself from the pain she saw. One after another the images turned quickly from past to present, then to the past again. The last vision was that of the future, or so Rellah hoped, her violet eyes growing wide. A bright burst of gold erupted in the vision, and it alone was enough to make Rellah collapse on the forest floor, her hands finally dropping the flute.

Breathing in shallow, frightened gasps, Rellah sat up slowly to her knees, trembling as she put her gloves back on, eying the flute as though it was something to fear. She reached for it slowly, tucking it away as she stood up. Her thoughts beginning to make sense, Rellah looked up into the woods, in the direction she knew she must go. As she took a step, a shadowed figure stepped into the light before her.

My Lady, it is good to see you alive and well, Odessa purred at her, a slight grin on her face, her yellow eyes bright.

Rellah blinked, her lips parting slowly. Odessa

Odessa laughed, her expression turning somewhat amused. Surely you have not forgotten? You knew we would be after you. You know what I am going to ask of you next, and I do hope you come willingly with me.

Rellah looked down, her eyes searching her own thoughts. Nikita knows, Im sure, of what I want to finish here. I know you would find me, it was only a matter of time. There is something I must do before I can return.

Looking up, Rellah saw Odessa roll her eyes at the mention of Nikitas name. Giving a small growl, she continued, Nikita and I think differently on the subject, my Lady. I have to think of bigger things, such as the people of Amadul, rather than what you want to finish here on this world. You have to come back now, there is no time for you to do what you want.

Rellah spoke angrily next. Not one person has ever let me do what I want. All my life, my actions have been dictated by others. This is the one thing I ask, before I will return willingly, and you are denying me. Where is Nikita?

Odessa was growing impatient. I do not understand why you do not accept who you are. There are plenty of others on Amadul who would have loved to have been the One. And you simply deny it! Whether you like it or not, you were born predestined for something great. You cannot just throw it away, or pretend it is not who you are!

Rellah knew she would not make Odessa understand. She began to back away slowly, her heart pounding. I want to see Nikita, Odessa. Before I return with you, I want to see her, now.

Im sorry, Princess, but what you want and what is going to happen are not the same. Now, come with me. Dont make me bring you by force, Odessas eyes began to glow fierce.

Rellah turned to run, but Odessa was quicker. She lunged at Rellah, knocking her on the ground, the two becoming entangled in a struggle. Rellah cried out in pain as Odessa scratched her leg, leaving four deep cuts across her outer thigh. Silver blood ran down Rellahs leg. Odessa hissed at Rellah, her yellow eyes staring into Rellahs frightened violet ones. Rellah was losing this fight.
