Meravyel fixed her gaze on Rellah. The girl really meant it. "The responsibility will be mine, Miss Rellah. For what I may do to him... I would not blemish your spirit."

The lights of the Silver Arrow glimmered faintly in the distance. Meravyel closed her eyes and listened carefully to the sounds of the forest. Each sound that should be there, was... and she could sense no other disturbance nearby.

"The Arrow, Miss Rellah." Meravyel nodded stiffly in the direction of the flickering lights. "You should be able to make it safely."

Meravyel turned and disappeared into a nearby shadow. Finding Garreth would be the hardest part.
