Rellah looked down at her wound, then to Meravyel's outstretched hand, speechless. Blinking, she took Meravyel's hand, and stood up slowly, a dull ache in her thigh. Rellah looked behind them, and in the distance, she swore she heard Nikita and Odessa's cries as the battle ensued.

"How did you find me?" Rellah turned to Meravyel, who had put Rellah's arm around her neck, to help support her.

Meravyel gave Rellah a smile, something that Rellah had not seen her do often, but still an oddly grim expression. "I followed you, Miss Rellah." Meravyel always called her that. "What were you doing in the woods this late at night by yourself? Not to mention traveling so blindly."

Rellah looked down, feeling foolish, as they began to walk slowly toward Tel'Ruid. "I wanted to find Garreth. I was not thinking clearly. I know that others want to help Lindel. I know that you would kill him, if given permission. I just...Azeron would not let me help, and I could not bear to sit by any longer, while everyone else was working on ways to find her. I thought finding and...ridding Lindel of the fear that plagues her, would be the best thing to do. The girl won't be found, until he's gone. I'm sure of it."

Rellah could not tell what Meravyel was thinking by looking at her face. Meravyel's expression was almost always distant, sometimes even stern. Her near-deathly pale skin seemed to shine like alabaster when they passed through patches of moonlight. The red tattoos on her face stood out almost more clearly at night. Her eyes focused in the direction they were walking; eventually, she spoke. "It is not in your heart to kill another, even if it is Garreth. You could have found your death at his hands, very easily."

Rellah nodded, her leg stiffening from the ache of her wound as she limped beside Meravyel. Noticing Rellah's discomfort, Meravyel slowed her pace, so that Rellah would not have to walk so fast. Rellah spoke quietly. "I was not sure what I would do, even if I found him."

"I know precisely what I would do," Meravyel replied, with a look in her eyes that sent a chill through Rellah.

"Of that, I have no doubt," Rellah looked down to her leg. Her silver blood had stopped coming out of the wound, thanks to Meravyel's magic.

"Miss Rellah, who were those two ...creatures?" Meravyel finally asked the question Rellah knew she would. She lifted up a low branch so that Rellah would not have to duck, as they continued slowly back toward the village.

Taking a breath, Rellah looked toward Meravyel. "Those are my guardians, from Amadul. They have been looking for me, to bring me home."

Meravyel turned to look at Rellah, furrowing her brow. "Guardians?"

Nodding, Rellah continued. "Nikita Felwithe and Odessa Kerrath. They were hired to guard me while I was held a prisoner in Lady Telemnar's tower. Both are outcasts of their homelands, Nikita being part high elf, part Succubi, and Odessa, part Vah Shir - a feline race - and part Teuton, a Barbarian tribe back home. I do not know much else of their past. They were hired to guard me, protect me, not to have deep conversations with me. Nikita can see into one's soul, into their innermost thoughts. I could never plan an escape as long as she was near. Odessa, well...she is a warrior. Hired mostly to make sure no one got in to see me, that no one could kill me."

Meravyel nodded, her brow still knotted with thought. When she spoke, her tone was almost accusatory, "I heard them call you Princess."

Rellah's eyes grew soft. "I am a princess, but I am hunted for other reasons. Who they think I am, I do not agree with, but my words never mean anything, my wishes never honored."

Meravyel wanted to ask more, but could tell by Rellah's tone that perhaps it was too hard to speak about, all at once. "We are almost to Tel'Ruid, Miss Rellah."

Rellah stopped, her eyes looked pleadingly at Meravyel. "You must not come back with me. I have seen terrible things, Meravyel. You must believe me. Someone has to find Garreth. I know that you want Azeron's permission, but there is no time. I will tell Azeron where you've gone, and I will accept full responsibility of these actions. It is I who ask you, Meravyel, to find the source of Lindel's fear. And to stop it, any way you can."
