Glor sighed softly as he sank back in his chair at Ostar Tower. He rubbed his temples in hopes of chasing away the headache that pounded in his head. The confrontation in the Arrow had left him drained. He wasnt suprised...He was dealing with humans after all.

It eluded him how the edan could not understand what he had to say. How they could act on a few facts and a few rumors and make judgements concerning the affairs of elves. Even a few of his own kin didnt seem to understand his position. That shocked him most of all. They assumed that a realtionship that was long dead was still influencing his decisions.

He remembered when Myra aproached him. She wanted to act as a spy...wanted to infiltrate the camp of the enemy. Myra feared at the time for the wellbeing of the residents of tel'Ruid. He encouraged her...Set her on her way...delivered her into the hands of Mord'sythe. She worked to gain the evil ones trust...and instead fell under his influence.

Glorfindle rubbed his temples harder, trying to force the ache from his skull. Under the influence of Baal'morda, Myra has attacjed two elves...one of them an initiate of Tel'Mithrim. Glor had her placed under a tight watch. While in her right mind Myra had expressed remorse, mixed with confusion, for her actions. It became obvious to him that she needed help. When he would mention this to others, the failed relationship he had had with her was thrown in his face. Obviously his judgement must be clouded. What kind of Ostar is he?

Then came the twins K'ryn and Andrew..Glor saw her as a threat from the moment she stepped foot in the glade. Together the two of them tried to openly kill Myra. Two humans...tried to slay an elf...in the Arrow. While he could understand there ignorance in what Myra faced, he could not forgive a clear minded, premeditated, attempt at murder. Myra had harmed others while under the spell of tha Daemon. These two acted on there own and of there own minds.

Try as he might to get that point across to those he knew...it fell on deaf ears. As far as his friends were concerned he had a double standard. Why couldnt they see. He may be in charge of the militia of tel'Ruid...if thats what one would call it, but he didnt have the authority to declair an elf N'tel'quiss. Not that he would have.

He sighed once more and made his way up to the second level of the tower. He opened a small gold box at the desk and began to empty the contents into his pack.

He had told many on many occasions that he would have reacted the same regardless of the elf. The fact he had a relationship with Myra was not influencing how he reacted...or acted. He had layed down the law for K'ryn and her pet Andrew...Harm an elf, threaten an elf and the last shred of any welcome would be gone. They acted in there right minds....And could not be tollerated.

He was shocked at the reaction of Za'af and Sinjun. Apearantly they had dealings with these two and shared something with them. What he couldnt say, yet the same questions of clouded judgement were raised yet again. He expected that from the edan, but at the same time it reminded him of the same exact words he had heard from his own kin.

He cleared the last of his belongings from the desk. That done, he brought out a parchment and quill and began to write as he reflected on the rest of the events of the evening.

"To the Ostar tel'Taur,

It has been brought to my attention on several occasions that I am allowing my past personal relations with an elf of this glade to impeed on my judgement when it comes to the protection of my home and friends. It has been going on so long now that I have to assume they must be correct. As I cannot allow this to continue I have made the decision to stand down from my post. Obviously I am not fit to lead you all.

Two humans seem to have the right to attack and threaten our kin and be justified in there actions while an elf, under a sinister influence, is to be hung for her 'crimes'. Since I cannot see the logic in this I am obviously unfit....Whatever...I am tired of it all and I am done.

I will attempt to lead my life with my wife and my shop. I would appoint Celeb to replace me in my duties unless she or any other has any objection. If she or any other does than I leave it to you to pick a leader of your own.

Diola lle for your support over the last decade or so and keep up the good work.

~G~"

Taking the note, he blows softly to dry the ink. Satisfied he walks back to the ground floor and sets the note on the meeting table. Hoisting his laiden pack on his back he whistles a tune to himself as he strolls out the door and heads for home. The feeling of freedom from burden is overwhelming and he actually manages a smile and a skip as his home comes into sight.
