Myra watched as the young elf picked his way over the bodies of the many dread spiders she'd slain. As he approached, she finished yanking out the second fang of the most recently fallen.

Their conversation was brief - perhaps even a bit terse on her end - as she suggested the apparently lost elf visit the village of Tel'Ruid. Where else to send him? She only knew that whatever gate had brought him here was not of any magic she knew, and she simply wanted her solitude. She didn't want or need strangers questioning the way she spent her time in these deep caverns.

As he disappeared around the bend in the tunnel of the cave, Myra shook her head. Why on earth would anyone open a gate here?

Her momentary distraction with the elf lord had given a particularly clever spider just the opportunity it'd needed. Myra barely had time to look upward before the dread spider dropped from the ceiling onto the elfmaid. Each armed with fangs - the spider with his own, Myra with those of his fallen brethren - the fight ensued.
