Light began to shine through the open window, awakening the unconcious Crimson. She found herself in a large feather soft bed, so unlike the piles of hard coins and gems that she had grown accustomed to. All her wounds were tended to and bandaged, yet one wound remained in the greatest state of pain ever imaginable.. but she doubted that her heart would ever heal. She sat up and glanced around the room, her gaze falling apon the sleeping figure sitting upright at his desk.

She thought it unfair to lay her burden apon Ian's shoulders. They had barely spoken since she returned to Sosaria. Crimson hurt him deeply when she left, and she regreted it more as every day past. She had tried to make herself forget about him.. ignoring the pain by convincing herself that a drow female was never capable of truely loving a male. She lowered her gaze to the floor. "I need to leave.." she thought to herself.

Trying her hardest to remain silent, she got up from the bed and began to gather the items that had split out from her pack. Slowly she tip-toed towards the door, pausing only for one last glimpse of Ian. She suddenly thought of Monday's council meeting when he absent-mindedly took her hand into his own. She immediately banished the memory and with a heavy sigh, turned back towards the door. She reached down for the handle when she heard of voice from behind her.

"Where are you going?" Ian said calmly.

She spun around to face him, but found herself unable to look him in the eye. "I wish to trouble you no further Ian, your aid was well appreciated, but I do not wish to outstay my welcome." she whispered softly.

"You should know Crimson that you are always welcome here with me." he said with a sigh.

She did not feel that way though.. he didnt seem to really reguard her at all anymore.

He walked over to her and took the pack from her hands.. placing it back on the floor. "Tell me what happened.. you were nearly dead." he said in a concerned tone.

She felt a chill surge through her body from the tears dripping down her cheek. Too proud to allow him to see her in this emotional state, she burried her face within her hands. She finally managed to whimper "Aslynth is gone.."

She felt a pair of large arms wrap around her waist. His warmth was comforting and made her feel completely immune from the problems set before her. She withdrew her face from her hands and returned the embrace. Her eyes finally looking up to meet his. "Ive never felt so alone.."

He gently pecked a kiss on her forehead. "You dont have to be alone ever again my A'mael.." he whispered into her ear.

Crimson slowly wiped the tears from her eyes and turned her fiery gaze to the floor. "You mean to tell me after all this time you believe you still love me?"

He placed a hand on her cheek, pushing it slightly so their eyes met once more. "Uma I do. More than you could imagine." He brought her body closer to his own. "Be mine again Crimson."
