A Dwarven Adventure
The Meeting
by Jedaiah (03 Nov, 1996) A Dwarven Adventure: The Meeting by Jedaiah

As the waiting room to Mataga's inn began to fill, my attention was caught by a female dwarf. Her friends called her Emmarld, but through the night I began to call her "Emmarld the Dragon Twirler" (I'll try and explain that later) At the present time though, the name "Emmarld the Pie Twirler" was more fitting. I saw blueberry, strawberry, more berry pies splattered in that room than I think I'll ever see in my entire life. I notice another dwarf sitting close to her, his friends called him Baldar Hmr, but through the night I began to call him, Baldar the Boomer.. (I'll try and explain that later too..)

Elves and Dwarves began the night by sharing different kinds of ales and wines. I sat down by my close friend, T Graywolf, and watched the commotion as I had a cup of feywine. I've had ale before and find it fulfilling when I am thirsty, but never experienced the feelings of intoxication.. until I had my first dose of fine dwarven ale. At first, I it seemed to be just a bit stronger and thicker than the ale I aquired at Striders. As the night went on though..... I learned it was definitely different and better ale.

Mataga's Inn was over run by dwarves and elves. I am not sure if it was staff that mentioned we should leave of if the eloquence of an elf mentioned that striders might be a more fitting enviroment for our adventurous spirirts. So, I shouted to all, "Race to Striders!" Imagine a dwarf and an elf racing... Well, I didn't at think of this before I shouted race. Nevertheless, the elves were in Striders and seated before the dwarves had reached the front door. This was going to be a challanging night, for both dwarves and elves.

As the two groups, The Grey Comany and Clan Axepeak, finally met up the discussion of where to adventure became the foremost topic. I mentioned that I'd like to visit Lonely Mountain once again, for it had been many years since I was last there. The most important dwarf spoke up, I believe they called him Tigguhr. "Wha ye say of dat mountain, laddie!?" standing as tall and stout as possible he spoke and stared into my eyes. For the first time I realized that a brawl fight with a dwarf would be a challange of a lifetime. I just smiled and said that I had been there once and thought it might be a fitting adventure to see it again. Nothing more was said on the subject ot that mountain. But, Tizer and Tigguhr agreed upon an adventure to Port Llast.

We split up into two groups, one led by our leading Bladsinder, Riklaun, and the other led by our Captain, Tizer. The elves of The Grey Company requested the adventure so, it was only polite that we lead the dwarves into mighty victorious battles.
