The Road Leads Home
by Talanithus Tarant (06 Apr, 1998) The Road Leads Home by Talanithus Tarant

I ache for halls of mirth,
For fey and song as the night wiles away.
I ache for Tororamin,
Strong brothers to hold my sword firm.
I ache for Seleramin,
Sweet sisters to gird my heart's pain.
I ache for Mellonamin,
Comrades to gird my soul's lonely tread.

I follow Eru's path through peril's unknown,
Striving to give what my great Lord has shown,
Yet the road is so long, I fear for my strength,
That I will not be able to find his far lengths,
Yet ever on do I move, each step a struggle dear,
Filled with a wonder, that I have reached so near,
When wisdom comes to be, from Corellon's heart above,
This strength is not my own, but fly's from my Lord's Love.
And so I struggle on, knowing I will never ever fail,
For Eru is my god, and my Lord's WILL shall always sail.
