The silver sunrise screamed
with the agony of Defeat,
as it once more had to awaken
to take its place in the heavens
alongside all of the forgotten gods
of Yesterday and Tomorrow.

As misty waifs of memories
fade from over-drunken minds,
the sterling calls of the sparrow
echoing through self deafened ears
that care to hear nothing,
but that which is to their direct benefit.

But still in the heavens,
where the warring of the gods
echo the anger and hatred
of the earths fair race,
there still is a song that lingers,
in the hearts of all,
The Old Song, that once heard,
can never be Ignored.
