Quay L'Tanaf crumbled the scroll he was writing on into a ball and threw it at the overflowing trash barrel. While he could read well enough, the finer art of legible calligraphy had always eluded him. As he reached for a fresh scroll, a young human walked through the door.

"Aiya! Mani naa lle umien?" the human exclaimed as he entered their new home. "My scrolls!"

"Qyl, I was hoping you would come home soon. I have a task I need your help wi..."

"Yee!!! Look at these! Ruined! Get away from that desk father, Sii'!"

"Hinamin, listen to me… I have a task of great import and need your help. You may scold me latter if you need to but for now, sit." Qyl sat sheepishly taking stock of the damage done to his writing table. Quay continued… " I wish to join the Tel'Mithrim. They require a brief history of my life. A 'written' history."

Qyl picked up a sharpened quill (politely ignoring the 5 ruined quills) and drew a fresh scroll from his desk. "Where shall we begin then? I always enjoyed the opening line 'It was a dark and stormy night' "

The two worked through the night. As dawn approached, the history of Quay L'Tanaf lay finished on the scribes table…
