Just in case this has hit a soft spot, which I do believe it has... I'd like to reassure any reading this that it is *not* an attack on the elves of Tel'Mithrim. Nor an insinuation of any sort of whatever it could be misconstrued to be.It is merely the extension of the roleplay of a character who is rather belligerant, prideful, and abrasive at times.
Ivy, the character won't respond to the questions put to her on this board, since they are responses to her letter, but I will answer the questions for her, for ooc purposes.
The evening opened with her stopping into the Arrow. I rarely bring her there, as she is just as I said, an abrasive personality at times. Her references to more efficient races reflects one of the main reasons she's looked at with suspicion and whatnot. Her history, if any could dig it out of her, links her to learning of the drow. She speaks their language and has studied their culture extensively. She's found that it illicits an interesting response from elves when they speak to her in elvish and she answers in Drow.
But, moving on... There she encountered Strongbow, Sinjun, and Skragg. Skragg... well for any there, they know the description he had. Big, hairyish, wearing hides, carrying a club. So Ivy called him a Neandrathal. Asking where they'd found him.
Things went downhill from there. Skragg got in Ivy's face. Waving his club around threateningly. Even shoved her hands to the side with it. Later, he raised his club to strike her and Strongbow and Sinjun stopped him. She did indeed threaten him with fire (a fire elemental did the trick). And being a bit sadistic, with a bad sense of humor, she summoned a daemon. Given the recent events with Baal'morda... She found it amusing. Even if it was in bad taste.
She left and returned shortly thereafter. That is when Elendil was standing by and another female. I dont want to butcher the name with misspellings.... I cannot remember if there was anyone else new there, except Rhaessi, who accompanied Ivy back. Skragg struck Ivy's horse on the snout. She informed him if he hurt her steed again, she'd be wearing his skin.
She sat in the Arrow for a while, until I needed to be off to bed. When she departed, she said goodnight, in common (as opposed to saying it in Drow, as she does sometimes) and set a tambourine she's been carrying around forever (you tell me why someone so "malicious" would be carrying around a musical instrument?) at Sinjun's feet. And left.
I apologize for any bunches in panties that this all caused. In thought later, I realized that this may have touched on a sensitive chord. Perhaps taken as an attack on Tel'Mithrim/Tel'Ruid. And it seems it may have.
In the future, unless I put (OOC) behind a post, they are totally in character. I do not make OOC attacks through my characters either. I say this because I've had similar experiences on my former shard. I believe it's childish and will not have any part of such a thing.
