Quay L'tanaf moved slowly through the well appointed room, guiding a large, flightless bird past the priceless treasures. Making a wide berth past the donuts (his faith in his new feathered friend's manners was still untested), he silently opened a door and slid inside.

The room was bare except for a large free standing closet against the west wall. Confident that his beloved NyteFrost would soon change that (to the benefit of the room and the horror of his purse) he sat cross legged and drew a blank scroll and quill from his pack. Slowly and painstakenly, as one unaccustom to writing, he wrote...

"Vedui' il'er...

I feel most fortunate to have met such wonderous and generous folk so soon after my arrivial here. To be taken in off the street and given a room in a fine, warm home was more than I could ever have dreamed of. Yet that is what Ithilwen has done. And my feet, tired after the long trek to this land, are most thankful to Melyanna for the gift of the fine bird, a wonderous steed in deed and indeed.

These things, along with the advice and gifts of Thranduil and Coriadae Draugenmith have set me well on the road to success in my life here. I hope someday to be worthy to apply for membership to your fine company and join your ranks. When that day comes to pass, I’narr en gothrim glinuva nuin I’anor.

Amin harmuva onalle e' cormamin, Diola lle.

Quay L'Tanaf "

Not sure how or where to deliver his missive, Quay placed the scroll upon hid pack, curled on his sleeping roll and drifted off to sleep.

The bird watched this with mild interest. when Quay was obviously sleeping soundly, the bird moved silently over, picked up the scroll in his beak, and slipped out the window to deliver Quay's thanks...
