As I was talking with that lovely little Celeb'Silma last evening, she mentioned Samlethe as being the jungle that spans the southern reaches of Britannia, starting just south of Trinsic. Actually I believe I remember a conversation with someone else who told me the same.

Now, I am a bit confused. I have me a book that contains the journals of Gareth, the historical wanderer of Old Britannia. Let me quote ye a few passages...

"Wind, I found, is a legendary city hidden within or near the forest of Samlethe."

"By the time I reached the Serpent's Spine mountains, I was a broken man. I near wept with relief when I saw the greenery of Samlethe's forest."

"The location of Wind is secret, but is not difficult to find - once you have found the Forest of Samlethe."

From these passages I had alway assumed Samlethe was the forest that lies within the large valley East of Despise and Wind, Southeast of the Chaos Shrine, West of the Compassion Shrine, and South of the Yew Road.

Do any of ye elven learned have any input on this?

[OOC: Those passages came from the geograpy section found in Origin's Official Guide to Ultima Online, which came out shortly after the game's release.]
