Calista staggered, she had only just entered her home when it felt as though some thing within her snapped. She might have fainted, she wasn't sure, but the next physical things she felt was the sting, and bone-jarring pain from having fallen face first onto the granite of her kitchens floor. One hand went to her cheek scrapped and bloodied, her teeth clenched against something that was screaming in the very depths of her soul. The red-headed elf lay hunched on the floor of her kitchen, for how long she was not sure, Every muscle in her body strained, her teeth clenched fiercely, and some how she faintly tasted blood.
My nose is bleeding..... Calista had blacked out. Fin... She had only been gone for two hours time, but that could be an eternity for one so young, and there is only so much a wyrm guardian and a magical cat can do for an infant. After only a moments coherent though, Calista let out a strangled scream, her body seized up, convulsing. The physically pain was nothing compared to what was happening in her mind. She had had a Bond broken before; by her own death. She hadn't felt the aftershock then, for her spirit had been in a soul-stealing blade, trapped with hordes of undead and daemon kin to "keep her company." And on being returned to the world of the living... in the form she now possessed, Deleaduindil had Bonded her to himself.
The convulsions had stopped, and the elf woman lay flat on her back, he pony tail lose, her long hair strewn about her, matting to her head with sweat. Between panting for breath, her face twisted in silent screams of agony. She felt herself fading, as if some thing were growing dim, or her body was finally rejecting the soul that had become meshed with it over the last decades.
Calista had always suspected that her spirit might be to weak to journey to Avernath after her Bond with the vampyre Damphir had sapped her, and she had often wondered, would she simply cease to exist? Wander the realms as a banshee... or worse? Perhaps she would be thrown into the Abyss, there was no telling. Not that any of theses thoughts were entering her mind at this point, her mind was slowly being torn to ribbons my the torment of her souls lost ties.
No, I am here, you are not alone. The firm, but more-loving-than-not voice of Mevairith twined it's way into her thoughts.
Please don't leave me! Mistress no! I need you...you are MINE I won't let you go!!! Path's nearly panicked tone ranging though her mind.
Korren's impassioned thoughts found her as well ...I lost you once, you will not be leaving again.
From some where Calista heard the howling of wolves. The grey Nimbreth and Tathar had long since made their own pack and the wolves were calling; calling as if one of their own had some how wandered to far away from a hunt.
Now look, Mevairith's tone was almost chiding, you made her cry. Calista was hazily away of something blue and wispy in her line of sight, and a weight on her chest. Some thing was dripping onto her face, and down her neck into her iron bodice.
The unicorn Khseleelena was weeping, laying beside her mistress, her forehead pushed against her chest, to distraught to speak, simply crying.

The wolves that roam the Glade seem unusually distraught as the night wears on. They are restless and agitated. In the distance one or another keeps howling, and the others answer, a hauntingly mournful tone to their cries.
Up on the hill near the river, in a small stone house a great white wyrm rests on the roof, her gleaming bulk dwarfing the parapet around it's rim. The creatures massive head drooping. Just inside the arched door way Calista lays sprawled, a unicorn curled up beside her. The innocent steeds crystal tears making a small river that drips out onto the houses steps. On one side of the door way a stunningly powerful nightmare stands trembling, his legs sprawled, his head drooping till his muzzles almost touches the grass. His sides at lathered with sweat, and his body steams slightly in the nights cool.
An un-naturally large brown dragon paces the lawn, his talons raking the earth, marking his pain and frustration. Not so far away, but just out of sight under the boughs of a walnut tree another hell-seed stands watching, her ears perked, her eyes smoldering, but her thoughts are quiet, and she almost seems a statue she stays so still.
Up stairs, safely tucked away in a basinet, an elven infant is sleeping. The fair in the hearth crackles pleasantly, it's light casting warm shadows in the room. In the basinet, sharing the same pillow as the fae child a large orange tabby tom cat is curled, his soothing purring keeping the child in a peaceful slumber... in spite of the trauma all about them.
