Which CD did ya get? They (EA) just did a big (48meg) patch to get all clients the same just prior to the release of SE. So if its this patch your having buggers with, keep trying.. many had troubles with it. What ya do need to do is open the UO directory and go to the folder marked "patch" and make sure its empty before ya try to patch again.

I'm on dial-up and it took near 3 hours to DL the patch but I didnt have any troubles either ...

I would think the SE cd has this patch already in the client on it and if so there has only been 2 o3 three real small minor patches since the SE disc was pressed but.... just make sure your patch folder is empty... aka delete anything in it before you connect again or have to try again....
