Trying to come up with a word for "rapier" in elvish. Been using your language in sme adventures i've been writing for D&D, and for some reason decided i wanted a word for rapier. The idea i came up with was "repaur" (she-fist). Implication being that elves created rapiers originally for woman warriors (traditionally less strong than men, therefore could use the extra lightness), and they have hand protection. perhaps it's "repaurmegil" (she fist sword). Whichever. The elves then discovered that it was a good weapon, and men started using it as well (in a renaissance style setting, or late middle ages). The word was bastardized by humans into "rapier" (unlike the real life rapier, which I've been told comes from 'espada ropero', spanish for 'sword worn with clothes').

Just seeing what people think. I'll end up using the word anyway, but the more i stick to officiality the better, especailly since i'm debating publishing the campaign at a later date (and giving GC full credit for the language bits).
