As the white light faded I realized that Thowra were about to land. Surprised I glide off his back and feel the young dragon's breath in my neck as if he tried to comfort me. "*pets nose* hey alright already, what is it that you want?" I ask surprised while gazing at the barrier that now surrounds us both, shielding us from all eyes. Suddenly Thowra sits up and stretches his front paws. "*nods* alright *places hands upon paws* now what?" I speak rather nervous when Thowra suddenly begins to speak in my head with a rather childish voice. I repeat his words in my thoughts too and soon I realize that we speak as if out of one mouth. "*thinks* Lord Of Light show us thy might, hear our plea, strike down our enemy. Release thy holy power for this is our needfull hour." I realize that the glow coming out of his body begins to melt with the glow coming from my old medallion. The one Zhepphyr once gave me as a gift. That light starts to swirl around us and begins to gain strength.*shakes head* I dunno what is going on here but this is going way above my head. That stranger is calling forth the Lord himself?" Uther says to Golradir while taking care of the wound. "*surprised* look that light is growing fast, it... it melts with the light already present,...this can't be..." Gonfindl noticed while taking a good look at the both of us. "*yells* Isil, oh lord it is Isil and Thowra...how come they..." he suddenly exclaims while gazing at Landil and Oleria who stand spellbound. "*peeks around* Isilheledh is a strange lady, but it sure works; look the undead cannot enter the barrier of light without getting fried." Tvalarish noticed while changing back into his elf form. Fallana rushed over to him and gave him a big kiss before turning to Gonfindl. "*shakes head* well she creates a barrier but, it doesn't destroy the..." she began, however suddenly the light exploded and expanded over the whole town, the forest and the mountains surrounding Eldrihir. "*yells* shield your eyes!!!!" Uther shouted before everything went quiet. Surrounded by a white enviroment Golradir noticed how his wound healed, and he seemed to return before all went dark around him.
"*looks up* oh, what happened?" Golradir asked himself and then sat up. "*gazes around* Uh? what the heck?" he asked again, as he noticed the crumpled pile of skeletons and many elfs plus the archers being complete spellbound. Gonfindl helped his friend up and then both looked around to find me. "*points* Isil, oh goodness." Gonfindl noticed as he saw me lying in the grass, unconcious, with next to me a heavy breathing Thowra. "*taps upon hands* Isil, my love, our sweet wife, wake up will ya please wake up?" Golradir whispers in my ear.
"*blinks eyes* mh? did we do it? the undead I mean" I ask, while gazing around too. Gonfindl lifts me up and then smiles "yes you did *carries me away* look, the undead are nothing more than a pile of bones, thanks to you and Thowra." By those words Thowra stood up and gave me a lick in the face. "*wipes cheek clean* hey hey, you're a good boy, yes you are, now go back to your mother." I say. the dragon nods and then walks off to the roost. Golradir embraces me too and then sighed relieved. "Ow sweets, when we saw the bakery burning, we thought you were dead..."
"*smiles* Shishelinda told me to seek refuge in the roost...but she left me to seek Lindor, for she wanted to tell him that she loved him." I respond while receiving a glass of water. "*shakes head* not a good idea, if you're asking me." Golradir noticed while taking a cup of water too.
An hour later Uther and his men piled up the last bones and then lit the pyre that would burn them. I seat near the House of The Elders and feed Elanora. "*walks over* Isil, you and your dragon have saved the day, these undead were nothing we'd ever seen before, where did they came from?"
"From the swamp of Cree, due north of here. None of us ever adventured there, it is too dangerous." Oleria responded.
"My wife is right, even the merchants of Gudelunsi, take a huge detour when they want to come and trade with us. For that swamp lies just across the main road. I used to be safe but now..." Landin noticed. Uther rubbed his chin and then gazed at both elfs. "Maybe that swamp has a inhabitant which doesn't belong there at all. Rumour goes that the Duke of Glaasth has vanished for some time now..."
"*interrupts* what? that dark magician? Ow goodness, he's responsable for the extermination of my kind of elfs..." Gonfindl said while cradling Saelbeth. Uther gazed at him and then sighed "I'm sorry to hear that my friend..."
"If it weren't for Isil, I'd be dead too, for I were injured and near dead when she found me near her house, she took care of me and that is when the spark of love sprang over." Gonfindl noticed. Uther nodded and then smiled "I see, well can't say that you haven't been productive *laughs* three children."
"*nods* yes but Haldir Finrod has the looks of Golradir too, since he's the father." Gonfindl said amused. "Uh? Well this is weird, oh well, we have got other things to worry about." uther noticed. I gaze at him and then shake my head "you're going to look for that Duke right?"
"Yes indeed, if he's causing this trouble, it is possible that Gudelunsi hasn't got any folk anymore unless they have survived." Uther noticed. "*wide eyes* what do you mean?" Oleria asked. "That the people of that town might've been enslaved by a small band of undead creating the army we just have defeated, thanks to Thowra of course." a paladin responded while cleaning his blade. Landin nodded and pointed into the direction of the Tavern. "Have a meal and some goodnight sleep then before you start your journey, and a bath if you please." Landin spoke. Uther took a small bow and then walked into the direction of the bathhouse.
At dawns early light Uther and his band prepare themselves to get to the swamp and try to find out what caused the invasion. I stand near my husbands who seem to get ready too. Uther notices this too and walks over to them "*shakes head* no fellows, this ain't an option, you have a wife and kids to take care of, and they need a father...I understand that you want to help, but...for Isil's sake, don't come along. I don't want to return here and tell her that one or both of you have died in a battle or anything."
"*surprised* Uther, this is our town, we need to defend it." Gonfindl exclaimed.
"*smiles* and the best place to defend your town is here don't you think?" Uther spoke amused causing both men to nod and sigh. "Hey if you want to be a hero that bad, I'll tell everyone who wants to hear it were you two who destroyed the undead all by themselves." a paladin spoke amused. "Who would believe that?" Golradir asked causing the paladins to laugh amused. "Hey if you don't mind we'll come along..." Shahagin suddenly said. Fallana gave her brother a kiss and said "have a safe journey and come back, Tvalarish and I have decided to get married..." By these words Shahagin embraced his sister and then hopped upon his dragon. "you have my blessings, and don't worry we'll be alright..." he spoke amused. A bit later the archers left, escorted by ten elfs under the lead of Shahagin. their mission: to search and destroy the cause of the undead plague.
