Purpose?

A few nights past I found a maze up near the chaos shrine that contained what appeared to me to be Driders, granted I do not believe them to be driders as they were no where near as intelligent as the ones I've encountered back home, Regarless of what they be, in going through their possessions I kept finding what resembled a fungus, back in my home territory we did cultivate some different varieties of funguses for consumption. I learned this fungus is called Foogie Fungus, my question being thus. What does one do with this variety?
