Class/kit/Template Questions

Hello once again!, I have yet another question I would like to ask. This one relates directly with the elven character.

In going through this wonderful website I have found something that has drawn my interest.

Within the link to "Elven Places", there is one link that takes one to the Swordmasters Dojo. The player whom built the site or rather the character (Rikklaun) appears on your inactive membership list.

Is the Bladesinger kit/template/class still a playable option? Is the requirements up to date?

I have been haunting second hand book stores, flea markets and such and gathering some books on the elven character and related material. Articles on the Bladesinger appear to paint this figure as a loner, which up to this point has been Yarra's play style.

If this kit is still a available option how does it fit in RP wise? Logic says that as Players we do not need to follow anything in print to the letter and can bend the rules per se.

Thoughts? opinions?

Many thanks to all and to those that have been so kind.
