new word question

I just read the thing on creating new words. I haven't been studying elvish for very long, so i won't be surprised if you don't accept my new word. I searched for the word 'night' and did not find it. So I made up a word. Ithelhu or Ithelmor meaning night ( though the word for evening might work ).I used a combination of dark/darkness,
star, and moon ( as you can probably see ).
Feel free to make changes or reject it.
