*reads the letter one more time and then takes a quill* Dear Illise
I'm glad to hear that the pies did taste very well.
Now that I understand your situation better, I can finally shake my worries off, altough you have chosen for the gift of the gods, I can imagine that Valandil is a bit...sad...
But eh between you and me, there is a possible solution: adoption. You can adopt a baby...
Now don't get me wrong but I've been to Franador and there is a house where parentless elf children are taken care of 'till other childless parents decide to raise one or more of them. Many babies are there, found by the kinderguardians of Franador...in deserted houses or near villages that have been raid by orcs or other riff-raff. Two weeks after you had left, three of the guardians came to Oleria and Landin, and asked if they had seen a bunch of orcs flying over upon frostwyrms... twenty five miles from our village, another one has been raid and destroyed by orcs. The guards found a lady who were dead but her baby were still alive...*swallows* they said that they had cut open the dead mothers belly in order to save the child within her. Under another one they found a one year old. being protected by the mother, the child had survived the masacre. Now ever since that disturbing news our village is in full state of alert. Both Gonfindl and Golradir walk around in armour lately and every elf of the Hidden Forest have sharpened their arrows.
I don't want to push anything n'or tell you that this is a good solution, but maybe you can talk with Valandil...*sighes* perhapse, you can adopt one of those babies...
And I'll send Zhepphyr when the time is near. Please do talk with your beloved one.
sweet laughter 'till we meet again
Isilheledh
Ps: included you'll find some more pies, and a few breads for on the road...plus a few waterbags filled with wine.
*rolls up the parchment and then gives it to her dragon along with the new basket* "you know where to find them..." I speak
"*snorts* damn I'm beginning to feel a postoffice upon wings..." zhepphyr mutters before flying off
