*picks the fruit from the baskets* we have a lot to do for tonights feast, who would've guessed we would have so many customers." Golradir exclaims while looking at Gonfindl. "*squeezes the breadpaste and places it upon the baking plate "myeah, that is right, we didn't knew about the fact that Eldrihir trades with that other hidden elven town of Shriritah...*pushes the full plate into the hot furnace* But so far we only had satisfied customers, and that is what matters..." "*wipes mouth* Gonfindl's right, and you are getting your memory back, with bits and pieces, and that is also important" I respond "*checks* hey you look rather pale, are you alright?" Gonfindl asks "*nods* yes yes, I'm fine, must've been that wine last night, well no time to fool around, the pies need to be filled with fruit, they are ready." I respond while taking some fruit out of the baskets. I don't dare to tell them why I feel so sick. I know that it is growing inside me and I know that some day I won't be able to hide that belly, yet for the moment I can't tell them. "*thinks* what if it dies, while it is still inside...what should I tell then? They'd be so dissapointed...no I can't say it yet." I look at the fruit and begin to fill the fresh baked pies. "*winks* leave a few aside for Lindor of Tel'Ruid, he loves those peach pies" I notice as Golradir is packing the pies. Suddenly someone knocks at the door and then enters rather excited. "*looks at his brother* Tvalarish, what is wrong? Oh I can guess, almost time for your drink?" "*waves with his arms* No no not at all, ow it is a miracle I tell you oh come and look, it is our mother, at her age, you can't believe this!!!!" Tvalarish responds nearly hysterical. His breathe is fast and it seems as if he's about to transform, curious I gaze at Golradir who then turns to us..."it is alright you can go..." I begin yet Tvalarish shakes his head and says "no, no you all have to come, it has happened last night, yes..." Curious we all follow him out of the bakery towards the 'villa' where all the elves of the town are gathered. when we arrive I notice the curious faces of our friends while the local villagers whisper rather excited. "*notices Shahagin* hey have you got any idea what has happened?" Gonfindl asks while Golradir follows his brother indoors. "*shakes head* nope not a clue...but I do believe that we'll find out soon." Shahagin responds while his sister looks at me. "*whispers* do they know?" "*shakes head* no Fallana, I can't tell them yet, it is too soon" I respond before gazing at the balcony of the villa. Suddenly everybody falls silent as a couple of elves appears. Next to them are Golradir and Tvalarish however, instead of two old elves, we notice that the couple is rather young. Surprised we stare at them as the other elves begin to cheer and applaude. Golradir waves at us and then makes everybody fall silent again "my friends, some of you wonder who these two people are, well I can tell you, that these are our fathr and mother, at the beginning of their second cyclus of life, which is also their last...here at Eldrihir, when the elves are old and grey, they isolate themselves in their houses and fall into a certain sleep, and when they wake up again...they receive their second life, all changed and able to bring new blod into the town, thus making it possible for us to maintain our kind." Tvalarish then explains. "Last night it has happened to our parents, now it is time to elect the new elder or elders!" he then adds. The elves cheer again and I only gaze at Gonfindl who understands my look. "A feast shall begin tonight, and lasts three days, preparations will be made after this gathering, have fun!!" Landir shouts before going back into the village. As we're about to get back to the bakery Golradir runs towards us and then looks at me "*gives kiss* Isil, love, we can choose this...but I promise, that if your time has come, I'd refuse my second life." "*laughs* it is clear now that the flower fairies and the mountain elves have much in common...*looks at Gonfindl* but I don't know about the wood elves..." I speak "*shakes head* we only have one life, but... to have spent it with you, that would be more than enough, but let's not talk about that, we've got work to do and before our bread burns....*slaps forehead* uhoh, the bread..." runs towards the bakery but finds a boy inside "*stacks the fresh breads* I thought 'let me help them while their brother-in-law and husband are at the gathering'" the boy says. "*gives a bag of cookies* you are most kind Finrir son of Griah." Gonfindl responds while we enter the bakery too. "hello Finrir" I respond "lady Isilheledh, wonderfull to see you again, life sure is different here uh?" "yes indeed now go back to your mother before she's worried again *smiles warmly*" "*sees the boy running off* that sweet kid, too bad, he never knew his father..."Gonfindl sighes while gazing at the breads. "*gazes quizzically* uh? this i don't know..." Golradir responds. "*sighes* it were two years before you arrived...the wolves of the high north had returned and several brave men went off to fight them...Griah along with a dozen others, went on an expedition...none made it back alive...except for Talan, he were able to say the names of the slain ones, before he too died. In his wife's arms." I explain while filling the remaining pies. "he's five now and Fallana looks after him along with his mother Shylira. He were just a baby..." I add after a long pause. "*wipes a tear away* sorry to hear that, he seems to ba such a nice kid; now, there is a party to deal with, and we still have a lot to do. *pets a large eagle* maybe you should use them again to deliver pies to the people of Tel'Ruid." Golradir then notices. I look at the eagle and realize it has been a while since I've used them to deliver pies to my friends. "*takes a piece of parchment, writes a few lines and then attaches it to the eagles claw* deliver this to Lindor along with this package *gives a pack*" Golradir then takes the eagle outdoors and releases the animal. I then concentrate again upon the pies that still need to be filled, and aided by both my husbands I begin to think about how they'd respond when I tell them the truth. "*winks* maybe we should re-new our vows, since we're at a new village." I suddenly say causing both men to look at me. "*embraces* that is a splendid idea, unless Golradir has any comments?" "*shakes head* no not at all Gonfindl, but allow me to tell it to my parents first, before sending the invitations...they'll be honored, I'm sure..." "*grins* one feast at the time or the rest of the year will be boring..." I respond "mh, wait untill summer starts, then you'll be surprised, and shocked maybe..." Golradir replies while smiling. I look at him and then begin to laugh as I understand the look in his eyes. Gonfindl then winks at the both of us before laughing too.
