*takes a piece of own baked applepie and then gazes outside* "Dun Natal is very quiet, everyone is inside and the storm has just begun." I say to Gonfindl who's reading a book. "How far are you with that translation of king Asharls journal?" Golradir asks. "I've been busy, but most of the journal is about the birth of his children, not that interresting actually yet...this is: *begins to read* 'soon my oldest son is going to be fifteen and I've planned a huge feast, yet rumour has come to my ears that the outskirts of my kingdom are threatened by a mysterious illness. What it is I can't say for it are only rumours so far, yet I've already informed my counsil and the high sorcerers of the kingdom to be prepared in case the rumours are true. At this moment my only concern is the birthday party of my oldest son, and within a week I celebrate the birthday of my six other children.' *pauses and then gazes at the slice of pie* "Sorry guys I'm going to finish this first" I say before eating the rest of the slice. *wipes mouth then continues reading* 'It has been two months since the first rumours and now more and more reports come in about people dying of this unknown disease that begins with one blue spot upon the arm or leg and then spreads out 'till the whole body is covered. The proces comes along with a great deal of pain and I fear for my wives and their children. Three months have passed and this will be my final writings, I'm infected and I've given my captain of the royal guards the command to evacuate all my wives and children out of the castle. I was bitten by a rat and I don't even dare to touch my wives, n'or my children, for I fear that they might get infected trough me...With bleeding heart I see my wives and children leave along with a small escort of guards. With them several other children who's parents are infected or dead. I trust my oldest son enough to form a new kingdom far away from this infested town. My kingdom is doomed but my children are alive and that is all that matters...the pain is excruciating and I'm not going to wait until the pain kills me, I'm going to bury this journal and then burn myself alive and the whole town with me, for that is the only thing I can do for those poor bastards, shorten their pains by a quick death. Many of them already have swallowed poison, others are waiting 'till the town is in flames. I've figured out that you can't get infected by shaking hands n'or touching the clothes or things of an infested person. But trough the bites of rats who are in some state of beserk. My only hope is that this illness will never show up again, when this town is burned and with it all the rats...I pray to the lords that my children and my wives are somewhere safe and...this is my farewell." *looks up and then sighes* now we know Dun Natal is the new founded village. Founded by one of the children, perhapse the oldest son. And that many of these villagers are the offspring of royal family and the surviving peasant children..." I say "but why do they keep this secret? Their king has saved their lives by removing them from the town. Is there something about this king that they have known but isn't written down in this book? A dark side perhapse?" Golradir asks. "Then we have to search the library again and I don't think that this is a good idea, for the townfolk don't like it that strangers sniff around in those books." Gonfindle says before picking up his own book. *gazes outside where the snow falls and a snowstorm blocks every sight* "Mh, lucky we don't have to bake bread today n'or pies I do believe that we can use this storm to get to the library and search some books." Gonfindle notices. "*shakes head* no good, there's always a guard present, and besides the day after tomorrow all the men are going out for a hunt...exept you and Gonfindl for I need you both here at the bakery, and Golradir, I don't want to lose you, like Gonfindl you are precious to me, and if someone catches you, you might end up dead and they'll make it look like an accident." I respond before gazing into the direction of the upper chamber. Gonfindl blows out the candles and goes upstairs followed by Golradir. I gaze at the parchments one more time before following them.
