We will meet at 6:30 pm central time at the Silver Arrow on Saturday the 13th. We will be traveling into the lost lands where we will base at Papua. From there we will venture to Terathan Keep to free some hostages. Several special rules will be in effect for this event.
NO REZZING will be done on the scene. All rezzing is to be done in Papua with the fallen making their way back to the healer. A helper will be on the scene with fresh horses, arrows, and regs to enable the newly recovered player to return to the battle.
Resurrected players attempting to return to the battle should be aware that there may be orcs and drow waiting in ambush along the return path so TRAVEL IN GROUPS.
Every player should bring a key of any type. Upon spotting Joiwind or Townsend in the keep, the player should attempt to give them the key. This will be the signal that they have been released. Immediately a gate will be opened to the Silver Arrow and everyone should try to get through. Other gates will be opened as needed, but we will measure our success by the number of players through the first gate.
Every player should carry 100 arrows and a bag of 30 of each reagent. Should you fall, your party members will be able to get supplies from your body. Also remember to bring orange leaves. We will have a limited supply in Papua. Remember that poison is your greatest foe in this event.
Insure everything and take NOTHING you don't want to lose. No one will get items for you from your corpse so come prepared.
Parties will be based around mages/bards who will watch over small groups (no more than 5 total) and link together with the huntmaster through automap. So mages/bards with fast connections will get first priority as group leaders.
We will fight our way in as a group, not as individuals. Neither Townsend nor Joiwind will accept a key unless they can see at least 6 other rescuers. Only if it becomes apparent late in the fight that we cannot force are way through will we attempt to run in.
Post any questions here and they will be answered as soon as possible.
We still have a few roles open in this event, so anyone who wishes to help should post contact information here and someone will get in touch.
This looks to be fun and somewhat unusual event. No one knows yet if we can accomplish this. Come and help us prove the nay-sayers wrong!
