Hello all, I have been popping in and out of Tel'mithrim for a while now. I have been especially interested in learning the language (a mix of Quenya, some tidbits of Sindarin, and other beautiful languages).
Anyways, I have been using this language for many months now (probably over a half a year)in my day-to-day life (not to mention teaching my friends Quenya), and I have found many 'holes' in the language.
Of course this is expected, and I noticed that there are some that are more needed than others. (though not always for rping-directions and events-, but in casual conversation)
Because the language is elven, I expected to find a lot more words for nature and its close inhabitants (say, different words for plants, the arts, and even food).
I believe I may be able to add a couple of new words (some from existing ones just melded together appropriately).
Here are the original words from the list:
Original words:
Maht- = (v) to handle
Tess- = (v) to hold onto
Mat- = (v) to eat
Yuln- = (v) to drink
Yassen = With
Titta = Tiny
Salpua = Bowl
Sikil = Knife
Fimbrethil =Twig
Tankil = Pin
Atta =Two
Nelde = Three
**********************
And here's my 'mix':
Mahta'vasa = To handle food. = Utensils (a is present)
or Matyas (to eat with) also could be used as Utensils.
mahti'salpua = Tiny Bowl to handle = Spoon
or
Ti'salupa matyas =Tiny Bowl to eat with.
or perhaps
Ti'salupa Yulnas = Tiny Bowl to drink with.
***
Neldetanki tessavasa = 3 pin to hold (onto)food = fork
or
Neldetanki matyas = 3 pin to eat with.
***
Sikil matyas = Knife to eat with.
("Sikil tessavasa = Knife to hold (onto) food" just doesn't sound safe)
Atta fimbret tessavasa = 2 twigs(sticks) to hold food. (Chopsticks)
or
Atta fimbret matyas = 2 twigs(sticks) to eat with.

Original words:
Vasa = Food
Telmello = Top
Telme = Blanket
My combination:
Vasatelma = Food Top (Table)
Since the words Top and Blanket are closely spelled , they can work well together Blanket=Table Cloth.
My thought is this combined word might bring the image of a beautiful wooden table some-what covered gently with a beautifully embroidered silken cloth.
I made Vasatelma with an a at the end (instead of 'e') to keep the word/meaning in the present.
As well, I find the word below to work nicely:
Mal'ered = Gold(en) seed = Corn
What I am hoping to see in the future are some words for spices, more fruits and vegetables, and perhaps some words dedicated to the arts, 'draw(ing)','sketch','statue'...
Tell me what you think.
Diola lle, elendili.
