*reads joining info.... charter and several other things... skims through other peoples applications... lurkes for quite some time...* *sighs* I'm probably going to do this wrong, here it is any way, the story on the character I going to humbly submit to Tel'Mithrim.

There is scarcely a sound from the stand of trees to betray some thing hiding in them, yet an oger continues towards the trees grunting angrily and swinging his club. Clear green eyes peer out of the foliage and narrowed, gauging the monsters moves. The young elven female had taken momentary shelter in the small stand of trees trying to get he breath back from the last round with the oger. Her slender frame is crouched low against her ostards neck. Her helm was slightly of kilter and she straightened it, tucking a few sweat soaked strands of pale blonde hair back out of her face. The armor she wore -one of the main reasons she was still alive- was starting to feel very heavy. Giving the ostard a silent cue to action as her gauntleted hand tightened again on sword and shield as rider and mount moved swiftly back towards the monster.

It didn't used to be like this at all...

Casa had grown up on a lonely island in the southern seas, knowing no one but her parents. She grew up happy and enjoying the solitude and peacefulness of her idyllic home. Safe, with her family, not worried about the tales of battles in other lands that they spoke of or of any of the creatures on the island. When she neared the age of one hundred and twenty, like so many other elven youths, Casa had set out for adventures, her parents warnings of caution still in her ears. Casa had thought she knew every thing there was to know of life and that there was nothing she couldn't handle on or off the island.

Experiences quickly proved other wise, but Casa was resourceful and a fast learner, and managed to keep herself alive, and mostly unscathed. Though the first few weeks trudging through the swampy jungles south of Trisnic were rather dismal ones. It took time to get acclimated to the forests of the northern lands but Casa soon found them much more hospitable than the jungles.

For the first years Casa avoided the towns and cities out of habit. She had been to Jhelom a few times as a youth but wondered if main land towns were as hospitable. Through this time the elven girls nack with animals started out slowly, growing till she kept several as pets and hunting partners. When she eventually did venture into the cities Casa was amazed at the noises and commotion, and at how many glared when her troup of brown bears followed her into a tavern. She learned to leave the bears and wolves waiting out side the city and safe from curious eyes, and gradually even began to enjoy the noses of a city. It could be a pleasant break from constantly watching for things that wanted to eat little elves. People in a city were never that direct.

At one point she met up with a rather eccentric smith named Velkyn, an elf, but Casa could not guess what race. She had ended up saving the older elf's life from a band of orcs that snuck up on the smith while she mined. Casa saw the other female outnumbered and wounded and jumped into the middle of it all with her bears and a pare of wolves. Velkyn was some what worse for the wear and Casa took care of her for months while she mended. They became fast friends though, mostly due to Casa's easy going nature. Velkyn was overly paranoid in time she accepted Casa wasn't going to steal the things she crafted or kill her. When Casa decides to sleep with a roof over hear head, or get new gear, it's Velkyn's home she heads for.

Fencing and sword play had fascinated Casa for as long as she could remember. Her father had been her first teacher and though Velkyn had offered her others, she still preferred a plane sword he had given her for her birthday. When Casa had made it as far as Britain she ended up spending some months training with the fighters, learning a few more skills. It was her goal not to have to run away from -or send her bears after- the headless monsters in the forest.

Better equipped, and slightly more dangerous Casa kept up her explorations, that was how she stumbled across the Silver Arrow one night. She had seen other elves in her travels, and knew that there was a forest that most called home, but she had never gone looking for it. Casa was curious and unsure of how she measured up to others of her kind. For besides her parents and the extremely strange Velkyn she'd not truly known an others. Tentatively she began coming to the Arrow of an evening.
