Almie lived in a small village of 400 people all of the Elvin kin. Her village survived on the necessities and did not take more than they needed and did not grow more than needed as supplies. The village elder, Litsos, was Almie grandfather. He loved her dearly and acted as though he were her father because both of her parents had been killed.

She left the village once she turned 15, the age of which a girl is now accepted as a woman and is given more respect. Just before she left; Litsos gave her a gift. He told her to open it before the farewell crowd and pray for good crops and good health to all.

When she opened the gift all had fallen in awe. She studied the rather large staff and held it up to the sun and in a loud voice prayed for good heath and crops to the poor and to the rich and asked the earth spirits for good travel. Then they all burned sweet grass for the spirits.

She left and started on her way to TelRuid, which is 423kilometers southeast of her village, ThaKanar. And on her way she met many different kinds of people. Some of them were druids who gave her some magical blessings for good fortune and helped her through her journey.

And Now She is Here
