I was born in a forest about 3,000 miles outside of Britannia. My mother died giving bierth to me. My father is dead also. How did I get to Britannia? Here's my story. I was born into a war between the Elves that lived in the forest and the shadows that lurked in the Far West. Who the ruler of the Shadowworld is, I don't rightly now, but the armies consisted mainly of dragons and wraiths. My mother, a young elf named Nessimawen, died of complications the night of my birth. My father, Areldil; a mortal, never remarried. He tought me everything I know. When I was around the age of five, my father was killed in battle. Haunted and unnerved by the reminiscence of my father's death, I left the forest soon after. I have traveled much in the thirty or forty years that I have been away. I had but one friend, Kimona. She was a mortal that I had met in one of my travels. We instantly bonded and were inseperable ever since. Several years later, I thought I'd made another friend. However, I was decieved, and to that "friend", I lost Kimona. We had been walking down a deserted pathway when he turned on us. Kimona, who was as usual unarmed, found herself indefensible. I tried to protect her, but he was stronger than me. I myself was gravely wounded. Both physically and emotionally. After my wounds had healed. I set off, once again alone. I really wandered aimlessly, not intending to go anywhere in particular. About two weeks after Kimona's death, I fell ill. Whether it was my grief or my wouns that languished me, I know not. All I remember from that time is ending up in a crowded tavern. I cringed in a corner, seeking solitude. I also remember finding myself to be a rahter popular target of ridicule and scorn. Fed up, I left. After walking quite aways, I collapsed. When I again awoke, I was in another tavern. The people here were much more hospitable. One of their own had found me and brought me here. When I asked where I was, they said I was in Britannia. That's what brought me here to Britannia. As for my name, I don't really have one. Kimona oftentimes called me Nienor. That's what I prefer to be called.
