I've given up on posting all three of our character bios at once. So here begins Dulin's series. If you don't want to read it but you do want to know what happened, see the JIST below.

I might have been an elf. I might simply have been a human with abnormally pointy ears. I don't think we ever had the chance to find out. Diola lle, Falia.
Twilight insists that I was found in a bush for some reason. Falia instists that Twilight is quite stupid, but she doesn't actually have a story.
~*~*~*~
Fire. It's very bright, but it has sort of a dark feeling about it. I've always been fond of it.
I held a lantern up and stared at it. Falia had bought it at a store just so that she could figure out what it was, exactly, and how it worked. I figured it out first, because Twilight wasn't very fond of fire and didn't give Falia the chance to figure out that she wasn't, either.
So I picked it up and wandered off. Probably rather rude of me, but I was only human.. I think..
I sat under a bush with the lit lantern in my hand. I stared at it. The wind threatened to blow it out, so I turned a bit so that it was under the bush more than me, and stared at it again. It reminded me of the Sun. Funny how that works. It was a solid shade of different colors.
A pop woke me from the trance I seemed to have been in. And then another one. Looking back, it wasn't very loud. I looked around and heard it again. Right above the lantern, the leaves in the bush were popping. I then stared at that for a second before moving the lantern. One of the roses in the bush didn't look happy.
Roses?
Oh, no.
Falia had a rose bush. They were all very red. It was probably her favorite plant. And, I guessed correctly, I'd just ruined it.
Oh, no.
~*~*~*~
Falia finished areguing with Twilight and wandered after me. Twilight had tried to explain what fire was, Falia had tried to explain that she already knew what fire was, Twilight had tried to explain how badly fire can burn one, Falia had tried to explain that she knew that too, Twilight had tried to explain what a waste of money a lantern was, and Falia had tried to explain that she was leaving because Twilight was trying her patience again. One wonders how she'd managed to be born an elf.
So she came to find me. As I heard her, I hid the lantern under the bush and stood up, a little jumpy. It didn't help that as she ran over, the leaves started popping rapidly.
I must have been a human. That's the only way I cold have been so stupid.
Falia blinked at me for a second. Then she blinked at me a second more. Then she smelled smoke as the bush gave up on simply popping and caught fire. I guess the lantern opened.
I reached under to grab it and burned myself. Falia, once she was done blinking at me again, yelled something about her bush.
It WAS her bush.
Oh, no.
I reached under to grab the lantern again, because, unlike most living things, I don't learn from my mistakes very quickly. I burned myself again, but I didn't really care because Falia was screaming which is normally a bad sign.
And it was this time too.
I got the lantern out, for all the good it did. I clambered a bit and fell over backwards, and hoped the wind would blow the lantern out. It did. Good.
Falia pointed at me and kept screaming something. I'm not sure how long she did that, but I do know I fainted somewhere in the middle.
According to Twilight, who for once, seemed to be telling me the whole truth without snide remarks or any such thing, she figured out what she was screaming. I mean, she figured out the effects of what she was screaming.
She's a mage, by the way. A really, really powerful one. But she can not do a basic or advanced or any sort of normal spell. She can instead do things like curse me.
So anyway, she was actually cursing the lantern or the fire, I think. Yes, it was the fire. That fire, having burnt my arm pretty badly, was now cursed. Well, that explains my fainting, at least.
So after a while she stopped that and made the mistake of trying a standard, basic healing spell, since she did in fact know what fire was and what a burn was.
Twilight, with wonder in his voice has tried to explain that the Elvish magic's on the burn which relates to the Sun which then makes me an elf in the Sunlight. But I can tell he can't quite explain it, not being entirely certain of what happened himself. Ask Falia. She might be willing to tell you.

~*~*~*~JIST~*~*~*~

I burned Falia's bush and myself and Falia cast a spell. Now I'm an Elf in the sunlight and a human anytime else. I write too much.
