In the woods south of Yew, in an elven town no one has ever seen before, a child is born. This child was given the nickname Eleaie’ Domeien in his earlier years for being exceptionally skilled at seeing in the darkest of nights. This town was called Suldanellesar, and no more than 70 souls occupied it by the time Eleaie’ was 60. The next few years were productive, and yielded an amazing 10 newborns when he made his way past a century of age. The reason no one has ever seen it before, is because the town is completely surrounded by a magical barrier conjured by the sorcerers to ward against the various daemons that roamed the lands. 10% of the occupants were blademasters, and they were very good at what they did, though their numbers were too small to do anything. Only 4% of the villagers had the necessary talent for sorcery. Eleaie’ is a descendant of a sorcerer, and a blademaster. His father taught him how to use a sword on the first day he could hold one, but his mental training and balancing started before then. He was taught the basics of magic when he was young enough to comprehend the ancient language of it, his mother was the one to teach him this, along with some help from the other few sorcerers. This is how he spent most of his earlier years, training and becoming more adept each day. The young elf soon met a young lass, and fell in love. She was named Nedlidee. They went on outings into the woods close to the village, which often came close to the barrier. A clearing with a spring in it and fragrant flowers was one of these locations close to the barrier. Years past, and more training, until they were in the clearing one day. Some daemons and gargoyles had broken through the barrier, and had surrounded the two elves. They were forced to fight, outnumbered. The fight lasted only for a few very short minutes, he saw his love fall to an axe wielded by a daemon, and was soon taken by a knife himself, but the price had been high for the daemons, which had lost more than three quarters of their number to just these two elves. The daemons thought they had won the small skirmish, no matter the losses, but then came the villages’ blademasters, and they hewed them to pieces. Nedlidee could not have been saved, but Eleaie’ had only received a knife in the gut, and was soon healed. He still bears the scar from the encounter as a memory of this tragic day.
The young elf recovered quickly, and after that he was called into the village council so he could speak of what he knew about this. He told them all he knew, from when they appeared to when he blacked out. The council talked quietly to themselves before announcing that if the daemons could breach the barrier, they could do it again, no matter how stronger it had been made after this. They sent young Eleaie’ on a mission, by himself, to search for other elves that would help in the protection of the village, if not eradicate all daemons in the area. The council also looked over at their few blademasters, and told him to hopefully find some higher training than the village had taught him.
This is how he had come across to Tel’Ruid, a fair elven town, seeking help…
