Myra peered at her reflection in the pool. Though murky, the reflection made her appear far more clean than she actually was, and she knew it. She'd been 'living' in the caves of Covetous for many weeks now, struggling with her own inner demons and the growing feeling that something was coming. The spine of her runebook cracked in complaint at being opened, having been left unused for so long, and she turned to a well worn rune. Tracing her finger over it and whispering almost forgotten words of power, she was whisked away.
The roar of the waterfall filled her ears as she appeared in the cave behind the curtain of water. Mist sprayed back at her. It was still somewhat cold, recovering from winter's chill thanks to springtime's thaw and it felt refreshing. Peeling her old and dirty leathers off, she plunged into the water without much of a second thought. Dirt and mud washed away, the filth of sleeping in an abandoned harpy nest was likewise washed downstream by the cleansing water of the falls.
When she felt suitably clean, and again civilized, Myra tiptoed into the cave again. Her discarded and tattered leathers she set aflame, and used the warmth from that fire to dry her small form. Meanwhile, she shifted a stone to the side, revealing a hidden cache. Inside she found a clean dress and fresh leathers - she had placed them here for just such an instance... or in case a prankster ever found her bathing and thought it would be amusing to take her clothing and run.
Clean, dressed, and feeling more 'herself', Myra again took out her runebook.
