Should she admit to her poor grasp of elven or should she try to brazen it out? As she wrestled with the question she saw the other watching her curiously so she decided to try and reply in kind.

> "A-amin naa e-eithel," she stammered nervously. "E-essamin naa Iskai'mithe ar' a-amin naa winya r-rakte sinome." She took a long swallow before adding, "Amin ummquena edhel lammen eithel. Quena lle edhain lammen?"

"Mae govannen Iskai'mithe. I am Elea ie' Dome ien, but my friends and aquaintances call me Elean. You need not speak our language all the time. Many people of all races come here, and if we did speak it all the time, they wouldn't understand much of what we're saying, now would they? So what brings you here, to Tel'Ruid? You need not be so shaky in your answer this time, for you are among friends." He then finishes his glass of fey and asks for another.

[not to mention that having to translate all the elven into words that we irl can understand can start to wear at your patience, so we just use some common elven, such as greetings and farewells etc.]
