Old Friend

(reposted from FW message boards - Dryads Folder)

Sorry for the long delay old friend... busy times ye know?

As for what brings me here... Despite my valiant attempts to awaken the lovely ladies of the grove over the past year, besides the occasional kind visitors, the Dryad Grove has been lonely old me wandering about trying to keep it alive and healthy

Yes...the Star Riders... Well they scattered to the winds with the death of NWN... Some went to CW and others off to other games such as Realm, DarkSun, etc which were popular back then. Sadly I have neither seen nor heard from even those who were close friends then for a very long time indeed.

As for "Star Witch" that is a rather long story indeed. I had a guild running here in the early days of FW called the Coven Tae Minae. For a long while it was the premier roleplay folder and had the highest rating for both number of posts and lowest percentage of "junk" postings. Sadly however four of the members in it with me were all RL friends and ceased writing and coming here due to the death of one of them in RL. Still tho the title bears a certain lingering meaning to it as I am one (witch) in RL myself...and so it remains.

*settles down against the trunk of a facing tree and lights his ancient long stemmed pipe*

I don't frequent the tavern and spin tales like I used to do so often back in those days...barely ever anymore truth be told... I suppose time changes all things after all.

Enough of that tho... I do miss the great tales we once weaved with TGC back in the good days and would definately love to see a return of that company one day if such is in the cards. If ye have nae noticed...this world here is terribly overrun by drow and we noble elves of the light seem to be all but a dying breed around here abouts...

*sighs and takes a long draw from his white-ash pipe in thought* Did ye know there are at least three full Drow guilds here and not a single one to represent we kin of the light? *a slight twinkle appears in the ancient elven eyes while he watches to see if his words are having any effect upon his long-time friend*
