I woke up. Everywhere was dark. I could not see a thing. I felt the ground i was on. it was cold and hard. I tried to stand up but my legs wouldnt let me. I crawled around to see if I could find anything. There was nothing. Just walls and a floor. I could ind no door or windows. I was so scared. I began to cry. I cried until I fell asleep again. I wa awoken by a soft noise. I sat up slowly. I looked around me. I listened to where the noise was coming from but I could not work it out. Then I heard a voice. It was quiet, cold and raspy. He asked me if I was alright. I did not know whether to answer him or not. The fear in me was too great. What was he going to do to me? Could I escape? Suddenly a bright light flooded the room and I could see everything in the room. The cold, marble floor. The marble brick walls and the small wooden door. The light came from the rof. The whole thing had opened up and the sun shined in. It was a happy sight to me. I felt that I had not seen the sun in years. I looked around he room and there was a man sitting in the corner. He spoke to me again. He asked me how I was and if I was feeling better. I decided to speak to him then. I told him that I felt ok but that i could not walk. He told me that it was because of a herb that they had used to help me and that it would wear off eventually. "Help me?" I said. "What did you do?" He told me that he had rescued me from the savages of the village. They had taken over the village a while ago and him and a few others were the only natives left. They had hidden in a part of the village that was protected by magic. The savages could not find them there. They told m that I had nearly dies. They had tried to hang me but it did not work. There was something about me that stopped me dying. To this day I do not know why I did not die. I was lucky. The man that had rescued me told me that I had to leave as soon as possible. That it was not safe for me to stay. They gave me food, more clothes and many other lovely things to help me.The one thing that I am more happy about than anything is the horse. They gave me a plain black horse. He is so beautiful. His name is Rhendro. I love him so much. He has helped me a lot throughout everything. They bid me farewell as soon as I could walk again and I left. Where I was I did not know. I did not know where I was going next. I was more cautious than ever now. I was scred about who I would meet next. And I kept thinking about Nienna. I hoped she was alright where I had left her..................
