Peacemaking is very powerful, as you can either make a single beastie quite docile, to the point of accepting your harshest blows, or make an area peaceful for a wee while. Voron's skill was great, whereas all I could do was to provoke the Ophidians.

I am very provoking by nature, so that skill comes quite naturally to me. *chuckles merrily* Also, I tend to solo a lot and cannot melee, so I prefer to see all the beasties paired comfortably and swatting someone... other than me.

It really depends on your style and the kinds of hunts you prefer. Six of my kin all are bards, as I find that music is very useful in combination with other skills.

Following the elven way, I tend to attract their attention, and when they grow testy, I play them a wee tune and encircle them, playing for them until they are preoccupied.

If you seek to hunt in the champion spawns, then your goal is to push back as many of the horde as fast as possible. I think that provocation in that situation (as it is time and volume sensitve) is more useful than peacemaking.

But it is rather cool to wander up to the Lord of the Abyss and watch him grow placid beneath your gaze. *smiles*
