My thanks Thrandplayer,

your advice has been most helpful *smile*. I always find it hard to decide how to spend my megre store of gold.

May I ask, did you like the song? I am afraid it was not an original, I'm still in the process of translating mine from Sindarin to Quenya so that you and the other Grey Elves can listen and enjoy.

Begging pardon, but isn't it a little unusual to have Grey Elves speaking other than Sindarin??

> More or less they are all the same. The only differences between the various clients are a few animations and some maps. (If you don't have the map files, you can't go to that part of the world, so that's a fairly big difference) But funcionally they are all the same.

> UO:LBR is the newest and will have the most up to date mapfiles to allow you to go everywhere possible in both 2D and 3D. (Note...OSI has decided that map files are too big to download, so you can not simply patch in the new map files...if you don't buy a CD with them, you don't go there. Everything else about the game gets patched in automatically when you load it the first time.)

> And personally, even if you have the computer to handle it, I see no reason to play the 3D version. The graphics are rather ugly and out of scale in comparison to the 2D stuff. But that's entirely a matter of personal preference, it effects nothing but how you see things.
