527 years ago I was born to Agardae and Dae'Laide of the Gold Elves in the mountains of Cormyr. We lived alongside Men, but neither I, nor my brother, could ever embrace them the way our parents did. I have little tolerance for such mayhem and destruction as they bring.
Both our parents were killed defending us from a band of ruthless Orcs. I remember how they stood their ground. They would not even glance in our direction for fear that we would suffer the same fate at hands of the Orcs.
My brother, Fulanne, stood by as my protector through the difficult years that followed the loss of our parents. He was steady as a rock, and I was never alone. Never afraid.
Until now.
You see, my brother bound himself to a mortal woman of great strength and character, but even she could not sway death to loose his icy grip on her. She succumbed to a mysterious sickness soon after birthing their second daughter.
Fulanne mourned her heavily, and the grief could not be appeased. Three seasons ago, unable to bear the grief any longer, Fulanne died of a broken heart.
I could not remain with such memories, so for some time, I have wandered, looking for a new home in which to raise his family. Somewhere far from the pain. Far from the Men that sicken my heart as much as the Orcs.
His daughters, Wilwarin and Kemina, grew tired of the search.
Not far in the past, the Half-Elvens and I came upon your fair town. We have been silent observers, not quite certain we were at all ready to pick up our lives and let dear Fulanne and Margaret go.
We have, however, grown to love you, and wish to be a part of your lives. And so it is with bittersweet tears that we bid them "Namaarie," and embrace our future with open arms.
