Days passed by and Galethien spent some of her time both at The Silver Arrow, joining on hunts and help with the defending of Yew with tel'Mithrim, these days indeed are good. Other times are spent at Empathy Abbey. The brothers gladly rented her a room for as long as she wished to stay. So there was time spent getting to know the brothers of the Abbey. And there was much defending to be done as there are new creatures evading the Yew area. One always had to be on their toes. There was much change at Yew even in the land itself, as a swamp had formed near Empathy and with it brought strange new creatures. These indeed are treacherous times. Even some of these new beings have find their way close to The Silver Arrow.
One eve as the rain poured, Galethien went to the Abbey library looking for something to read as she was having one of her restless nights and could not sleep. Scanning through the shelves of many books, one title caught her eye. "The Lands of Ilshlnar". Taking the book from the shelf. She opened the cover and thumbed through some of the pages. In the back of her mind she had remembered talk of Ilshelnar and the wonders that this land held. Closing the book, Galethien headed back to her room.
Galethien threw a couple of logs on to fire, as there was a slight chill in the room. She picked up the candlestick and sat it on the small table next to the bed, and with that lay down, opening the book to the first page.
"The land Ilshenar can be reached by stepping into one of the Britannian moongates.
There are 8 Moongates in which to cross Spirituality,Sacrifice,Justice,Honesty,Humility,Honor,Valor,Compassion. Let me take you by the hand, across the new lands, as we visit each of the eight shrine moongates and their surroundings"
After reading a while, the rhythmic drops of the rain lulled Galethien into a peaceful sleep. The embers burned to a faint glow.
Galethien felt herself floating; she quickly looked and saw herself lying on a white cloud. Not far from her were two other people, but she could not see clearly who they were. Looking down she could see nothing but a thick white mist and could not see if there was a bottom. Sitting very still for the fear of falling off into the mist, she looked over at the other two that were not far from her. They both stood up, looking at her as if beckoning Galethien to follow them and took a step off into the mist. They did not fall but floated down as the mist slowly consumed them, as a voiced cried out "Galethien".
Galethien woke startled as the morning sun peered through the window casting a glow through out the room. She threw the blankets back and sat up ,on the floor she saw the book she was reading the night before, she bent over and picked up the book and sat it down on the table. Walking over to look out the window, Galethien thought about the dream she had and the voice calling her that had awaken her. She was confused as to the meaning of the dream. Looking once more over at the book, Galethien decided that she would go to the Lands of Ilshanar. There was strange longing to go.
