Movements in the dark

Bhaal moved through the shadows gracefully, and almost unseen. This wasn’t his style, no, hiding was for thieves. He was an assassin, trained to kill. Why then, why couldn’t he? That elven girl, he could have killed her with but a thought.

He hesitated.

Why could he not destroy her than? She had no real valve, she was but a pawn in this game. Maybe…maybe…no. He shook his head. It was not that. He could not feel emotions.

Bhaal started his move towards the city of Yew again. He knew now that in order to claim his new target, he would have to become more powerful. He knew that in a one on one combat he could easily destroy his opponent, but an army? That would be a challenge. But, Bhaal always did love a challenge.

He slipped past the town guards before they could even notice him. It most likely didn’t matter, they had always been as blind as bats, and dumber than a pebble. Bhaal could have screamed at them, and they would not have noticed.

He rolled his eyes, and moved to a small cottage. It was one of the peasent’s homes that he had claimed as his own. It would have to do for now. He opened the wooden door, and made his way in. The place still smelled of blood and gore, but it did well to keep others out. It was still a shock to Bhaal that no one had called the local watch to clean up the place.

Bhaal made his way to a small table that sat near a window. On it was a small candle, that had seem to have better days. On the table was a small vial of ink, a quill, and several pieces of parchment. The Lord of Murder had spent many nights working on notes, pondering on what his next move was.

This Tristan person was going to become quite troublesome, but not without valve. He had cured the elven girl of his curse, and, harbored a darker side. A chance to claim him was possible, but not now. Who than?

Bhaal sat down, and looked the parchment. It was written in his own form of shorthand, so no one but him could read. He smiled as he looked over his notes. He had written information on such people he had seen. The drow, Maya and Veil, the lich Khellenduras, and others. But one problem pulled at his mind, he needed worshippers. But whom?

"Wait...who was that man?" Bhaal asked to himself. He did posses that woman body for a time, but, he also possessed her mind. Yes, a strange man, who knew about Bhaal.

"Blackhand." He said. Yes, a human that had been seaching for the Lord of Assassins, for what reason he did not know. This man also harbored something dark, something Bhaal could use agaisnt him. Yes, the perfect start to a new reign of terror. The perfect form of revenge, a man that has helped the elves and who knew him. Then have him turn on them.

The Order of Blood will rise again.
