People will gather at the TLC embassy in Telruid. Several piles of stuff will be set outside, one for each group of 2 people. This stuff will consist of 2 locked chest or box of considerable weight, an empty chest or box, a person, and a pile of junk that will be determined at the event. Each team will be given a map and a pile they must "smuggle" to the final point on the map. No magic can be used to move the items, so a ship should be used. People can use their own ships or borrow one from us. A check of 11k must be given to us as a deposit to insure the boat is returned. The loose items can be loaded into the empty box to allow for faster movement, but they may be carried on a person. The larger boxes will not fit in a normal pack and must be moved onto the ship in other ways - since the judges did a run through, we know this is possible. A hint is that ships on certain coasts can have their planks touch land for easier movement on and off the boat - a western shore works well.
The course plotted on it isn't necessarily the shortest path to allow for creativity.
Smugglers must get their load to the spot and unload it onto ground in a box that will be made of items or cloth (judges will point it out as well). All items on one's person must be put onto the ground. Judges will inspect the load afterwards and consult with the smuggled person to insure that no transportation magic was used. The three fastest teams will be awarded prizes.
Refresh potions are allowed. Pack horses are not allowed, nor is the gate or recall spell. Lockpicking of the locked chests is allowed because it probably won't save much time, but smashing the chests isn't allowed. Judges will check this with the keys.
Sorry for all the rules, but I wanted to make limit problems for the judges and remove any advantage mages would have in this over any other profession.
