Description:Age: 85 winters
Race: female -Taur'quessir
Description:I am what is called elandili, being that of that the line of the Taur'quessir on my mother's side and of human on my father's side . I am not quite as petite as normal female elves, for that's one of the traits I have inherited from the human side. But most of my features do come from my mother's side. My hair is the color of a silver moon , long and free flowing just as my spirit is. My skin is a little darker than my elven race ,the color of a ripen peach. My eyes are hazel which are a sign that I am truly from the line of the Taur'quessir.
History :
The Taur'quessir were divided into rigid system of castes, or Houses, there was the top of the system which is The House Royal and beneath this was the guildhouses. My grandfather Rheoddyn was one of these guildhouses, House of Elvádë and a very highly respect. He had two children a son Owedd who was the eldest and a daughter Alwvyan ( which is my mother). Alwvyan was taught in the ways of a apothecary for that is the profession of The House of Elvádë and has been handed down from generation to generation.
I am the Daughter of Alwvyan and Tiehar , granddaughter of Rheoddyn. My life so far has not been an easy one, being elandili. Being complete shunned from my family , House of Elvádë . But not all times where hard and I can remember happy times being with my mother and I can remember the warmth of love my mother Alwvyan bestowed up on me. And to her heartbreak she carried most of her life.
Let me tell you the story of of how my life began.
One day Alwvyan was gathering flowers and roots for the days harvest. Being that it was winter time she went deeper into the forest , than she normally would. She had been warned many times about going deep into the forest were danger can lurk in the shadows. Alwvyan had put the last of some roots into her pack and started heading back home, she would have hurry quickly as the sun was dipping in the western sky. Looking around , she became confused in which direction she had came. As Alwvyan started walking the way she though she came, she heard the howling of the night wolves, she knew she must move very quickly before they picked up on her scent. As she picked up her pace , the sound of the howling came closer and closer. The sun had started to go down and the forest turned very dark making it hard to see her way. Then a head of her she saw a clearing from which a light shown from a cabin. At the edge of the clearing Alwvyan thought she a choice of staying here in the woods and being hunted down by the night wolves or seeking shelter at the cabin in the clearing. She decided to take a chance of seeking shelter, even though she did not know what danger might lurk there. As she approached the cabin she saw a figure standing on the porch and what of she could see, it was a human male. As she almost reached the porch, the pack of night wolves broke into the clearing racing towards her. The human man ran from the porch rushed past Alwvyan, while pulling his sword from the sheath and headed into battle with the night wolves. The battle was fierce as lifeless bodies of some of the wolves lay on the ground. Finally the last of the pack limped back off into the woods, licking their wounds. Alwvyan had never seen a human man before and was quiet taken by his gallant action and the handsomeness of him. His name was Their ( my father). The next morning Teihar saddled a horse for Alwvyan and led her to a road that would lead back to her home.
Over the course of the weeks, Alwvyan would find time to sneak into the woods and meet with Tiehar. They would spend what precious hours they could together , falling more in love each time they were together (so Alwvyan had thought). Alwvyan eventually knew she was with child and it would not be long before her family would notice it also. Its was forbidden to marry outside of your guildhouse let alone marry outside of the Taur'quessir race , as they believed in racial purity. One day she rode into the forest to meet Tiehar to tell him of her predicament, and waited a long time, but he never came. Deciding that he may have forgotten they were to meet that today, she rode on to the cabin in the forest only to find the house was empty and no one there not even the horses that were normally there. So Alwvyan headed back home, her heart shattered into a million pieces.
Alwvyan 's father Rheoddyn was in sorrow and grief for his daughter, but the laws are the laws. Punishment was banishment. Therefore Alwvyan with her unborn child was taken to the middle of the woods and left there. She knew that she was not far from the cabin were her and Tiehar first met, so she decided that was where she must go. As she walked in the direction of the cabin, she heard the sound of horses. Being afraid she hid behind a tree. She saw that there were 2 riders and she then recognized one of the riders as her brother Owedd. Owedd took Awvyan the rest of the way to the cabin in the woods. He could not bear what had had happened to his sister.
Months went by and I was brought into the world. I had a fairly happy childhood playing in woods and making friends with the animals in the forest. My Uncle Owedd, rode by the cabin twice a month to leave us supplies and teaching me the use of the longbow. And of course my mother taught me the profession of Alchemy ways of our family. We use to go together to pick roots and herbs in the forest. She told me stories that had been handed down through the family, stories of war and stories of love. One of the most remembered story was of a beautiful glade called Tel"Ruid, it is here that elves have come together, that was many travels off in another land. Then one day, it was my just past my 85th winter, my mother took sick and no herbs could bring her back to health. My uncle Owedd was there when she finally died and we buried her just outside the cabin. Owedd brought out a small golden chest "Galethien, your mother left this for you and told me to give it to you when the time is right and the time is now. " Galethien open the chest, in it was a rolled up parchment , bag of gold coins and a pendant of silver with amethyst stones set in a circle. Galethien opened the letter.
Melamin timuamin,
If you are reading this letter then the time has come. You must go on and find your way out into the world. Remember the tales of a glade called Tel'Ruid that I have told you about. It is here you must travel to, for your destiny is not here. Be safe in your journey , remember my great love for you. You will always be a Taur'quessir, the House of Elvádë. You will find also a bag of gold coins and a silver pendant which represents our house. This all I have to leave for you. Aa' menle nauva calen ar' ta hwesta e' ale'quenle
Yassen Mela,
Alwvyan,
My Uncle Owedd then gave me another small bag of coins, a fine eleven bow and several bolts." Galethian take care and be safe upon your journey". Jumping up on the horse left to me, I pressed my heels in her side, and headed for the coast for it was there I would take a ship and sail to Britain and on to my journey to Tel'Ruid.
