Janus took small steps around this strange new land. It was all black. Everything was darkness. Janus looked around, noticing others walking as well, in a depressing mood. Above a tall mountain stood a tower, seeming to draw lightning towards it. Janus stepped further into this "plane". Janus squinted his eyes staring at the tower.

Out of curiousity, he decided to make a run to it. Endless hours, maybe even days, occured before he reached it. This world seemed so odd. Among some citizens, there was terror among their face. But, on some, they seemed rather delighted to be here. Upon placing his foot on the stone stairs, a surge of power came through his body. He couldn't feel it, but watched as a small form of lightning crawled about on his hand.

He took another step, and the "lightning" still surged through him. He continued to walk, totally ignoring the strange effect. Upon walking through the stone arch, he took a scan around the room. In the center of the room, a mysterious figure of darkness seemed to float in the air. Suddenly, a deep voice rang.

You! I did not call you here!

Janus flinched at the voice, as it seemed to startle him. The darkness somehow formed into a human form... a very old man, covered with runic symbols. Janus blinked and sighed.

"I know. I choose to come here," he said, waiting for a response. The man grinned, taking steps towards Janus.

You have a attitude,

Janus rolled his eyes. The man finished his sentence.

I like it.

Janus laughed quietly to himself. He spoke up, asking a question.

"Why am I here? And... Where am I?" he asked, pausing for a short moment.

This is the realm where everyone goes when they die. You are at the Ethereal Plane, the home me, Oblivion.

Janus arched a brow of curiousity at the man. Janus shook his head.

"Will I be here for... all eternity?" Janus asked, questioningly. The man stared at Janus. Inside, he could see Janus' true power.

No, I can change that. I believe you are the one... To open the gates of the void and Sosaria.

Janus was confused now. He spoke up again.

"But... I am just an assassin," he said negatively against himself.

No! You are more. I can see into your... soul.

Janus was even more curious of it.

Your new power, Janus.

Janus gave the man another curious look. At the second he was going to speak, a huge boost of energy flew through him. He could feel it this time. After it was finished, Janus asked:

"How'd you know my name?".

The man laughed. I am a god, remember?

The man began to concentrate again. A moment later Janus covered his ears at the loud noise of stone moving upon stone. He turned his head to the right, watching it open a portal. But, it didn't open entirely.

The lightbringers have become even stronger. My power is only half of how strong it is when using it on Sosaria. I cannot do major spells.

Janus blinked, listening to the man speak again.

The shadowbringers must gather supplies to bring you back...
