..."Sacrilege!!" the Matron screeched. She watched in horror as blood splattered onto her precious chapel walls. The guards that had come to her aid were now reduced to unrecongnizable pieces. She tried once more to invoke the power of Lloth, but the goddess gave no answer to her pleas. The beast was near finished dispatching the house's priestesses. The Matron levitated above the gruesome scene, believing she was out of danger. Soon enough, the priestesses screams were heard no more, and the beast turned its blood-dripping maw up towards the Matron. To her surprise, the scaley-looking humaniod began to rise towards her. "Please my daughter!!" she cried out in desperation, but the beast merely snarled and slashed its talons..*********************************************
Crimson halted her meditation. What was just shown to her was something burried deep within her darkest memories. Her heart sunk. "What else do I have hidden inside my head?" she whispered. Her thoughts then traveled to what she did remember of that fateful day.

...The young drowess awoke to the eerie silence of the massacred chapel. She glanced about in utter confusion. "Was my house attacked and I left for dead?" she questioned aloud, as if expecting an answer. "But then..", she glanced to her once-chained wrists, "..how did I break my bonds?" It was only then that a large pain seared through her blood-drenched body. It was quickly ignored when she saw movement amongst the carnage. Anxious to know what happened, she picked up a discarded dagger and slowly approached the battered form. What she saw put a large grin on her usually sullen face. Laying before her, alive, but crippled, was the wicked woman who kept her caged like an animal for so many years. At the sight of the drowess, Matron D'Veldrin tried desperately to reach her fallen whip. "Not this time Mother" the drowess purred as she stepped apon the outstretched hand. "Too many a times has your toy bitten into my flesh.." she said as she bent down to pick up the whip. As her fingertips touched the carved-bone handle, a surge of power rushed through her veins. "Odd.." she said aloud, and dropped it to the floor. "Did it just do what I think it did?" she whispered to herself. Her courage with her once more, her hand embraced the whip's handle and all six snake heads squirmed. She turned to her fallen Mother. "What does this mean?!" she hissed. The Matron only managed a whimper of pain. "Enough of games, its time to do what I should have done many years ago." The drowess cracked the whip hard, all six snakes bitting into her mothers flesh. She laughed with delight. Lloth had chosen her.

Crimson pieced together the events. She had always known that her Mother's blood stained her hands, but her whole house? Confusion struck her hard. "How could I have transformed into such a thing and have no recollection of it.." She was a mere fifty at that time, and afterwards was taken in by another household to lead their armies. It was not until many years later that she knew of her true blood.. and sometime after that before she could use her birth given powers. "What had caused me to change then?!" she cried out in exasperation. What bothered her more is the fact that this memory chose to reveal itself now out of all times. Drow had been plaguing her mind, oh how she hated seeing them in the Glade. "Thats it, I need a drink" and with that she headed off to the Arrow.
