Myra was absolutely giddy about winning the Bardic Competition, even if she had tied with Copper. Truthfully, she thought Copper's piece was stunning! So she lingered about the Arrow. Refreshing her acquaintance with Benito and Lekka of Britain, she also was introduced to Galahad, representative of the Trinsic seat of the High Council. After serving them some ale and pizza, upon request, they sat for a while with idle conversation. For the first time in a while, Myra felt alive. It wasn't often she met new faces, let alone new faces that were receptive to just sitting and chatting with her.
Benito soon departed. He had been part of some auction proceedings in Britain and was growing quickly tired. So Lekka, Galahad, and Myra spoke for a while. And then Lekka went on her way. Sometime during this all, the rest of the tavern had emptied out... Leaving just Myra and Galahad.
The evening continued to be pleasant, if not something different for Myra. Galahad was curious about the happenings in the Glade, so she gave him a short history of the events from the past year or so... And they spoke of High Council matters. The arrest of Janus Black and his removal from Moonglow... an attempt on Galahad's life a few meetings past...
It was then that Myra spotted a dark-skinned figure over Galahad's shoulder and out the window... standing on Camris' roof. From the manner of her dress, she appeared to be... not only an outcast (as she wore no visible red), but a priestess as well. Those implications alone were disturbing.
Galahad was very gallant, and took up the role of 'protecting' Myra, as it were... It was then that Myra noticed something odd... Galahad had gone outside and was speaking with a young woman. Human by all appearances. But Myra knew something was just not right...
The girl moved her hand to point out into the forest, her eyes following, as she explained she'd just been picking herbs... when the magic that disguised her began to waver and fell away. She was a drow! As quickly as the realization came to Myra's mind, the female had lit out through the trees. Myra knew better than to give chase, and instead, she and Galahad moved to the Temple. Myra felt safer there. It was there, also, that Galahad bid her a goodnight.
Myra moved up to the roof and sat in contemplation after Galahad departed. That drow had been able to disguise herself as something she was not. This was the first she'd actually seen one try to travel through the Glade in such a manner...
The implications, if Myra's tired mind wasn't stretching them out of proportion, were truly disturbing.
