The Return To Tuatha de Danann?

It's going to be a movie called "LIBERTY 72: Hidden Treasures."

It will not be a fantasy piece - nor intentionally a science fiction piece. I'm in the United States doing research for that future fiction project, and I'm very imressed with all of the people here and what they've posted. I had never heard of faeries or goblins beyond Disney's Tinkerbell and the term "ghosts & goblins."

We're working on a major movie project now that is going to take place in the year 2671, but which is going to place all over this side of the galaxy. I'm writing the species of "Trucowl 5" (located 9,000 years galactically East of Earth. They had never occupied Earth, but they were responsible (all of this per the fiction, mind you) for the Roswell probe that crashed in New Mexico in the 1940's, giving humanity a sudden technology boost. They had been in the business of space travel for thousands of centuries, and now are more like the Chinese in which they are advanced through slow, steady development, but don't have much of an answer when asked "What have you done for me lately." Although advanced, they are a stagnant species.

In the other corner, galactically west, is the race called the Isvarella. They are also old members of the ancient wars, so violent and so widespread (5 or more galaxies) that stars were once used in bombs in the ancient wars. They had been to Earth, and occupied Ireland from 1897-1700 B.C. They appeared most easily to children, and they envy the humans (and angels) who have eternal souls. They are feries, and since they can't easily communicate with humans but to dance over their pillows at night, use androids humans called goblins to communicate with Earth. They disappeared by treaty of a ceasefire between the Trucowls, the Isvarela, and the Astenfaji.

They were originally from the Omega Centauri star system, have evolved beyond the need for a physical body long ago, and have stayed away from Earth in line with the treaty.

The Astenfaji just happen to have a language and a writing system very much like ancient Greek - funny how that happens. Their lead ship and leader is called Poseiden (a job title, not a name) and occasionally they ventured over to the Latin world, who called them Neptune. The Astenfaji were actually able to travel to a doomed galaxy, and every few centuries go back home. Since the cease fire, they have passed up Earth and have lived in the Pleidaes, named after their daughters. But, things aren't looking good there, and they have to find somewhere new to live - NGC-2168 is their best choice, but unfortunately, Earth just happens to be in the way, and as an adolescent space race, stands to really mess things up for the peace treaty with Fairies when they meet in space.

In short, the war was between Faeries and ancient Greek Gods, and now that Earth is up in space with them, anything can happen!

Hope you enjoy the story!

It should be ready to go to final stages of preproduction this year, and it will be released on DVD and on national cable sometime in late 2002 or sometime during 2003!
